My Vintage Bridal Show Offerings

My vintage store that I sell at is hosting a Bridal Show in next week.  I will try to take pictures of the vintage inspired ideas at the show.  This post is highlighting some of the items I am taking to the event.

My husband is usually the chalkboard artist in the family.
He made this for the event.

I had worked on three old windows a few weeks ago.
Painting the back of the window so that the wall adhesive graphics would pop.
After doing the windows that way, I started thinking about some
embossed wallpaper that I had leftover....

I actually just cut it to size and used the wallpaper glue to
adhere it to the backside.  So technically, the paper was
backwards.

But it was super easy to do and gave a great effect.

I did it for this one too.
Added handles on both.
For all of the above I used Dollar Tree
adhesive wall stickers for the graphics.
Sold for $24, had $5 in it.

This was an assemblage of a board that I had,
old photo that I had, and a couple of Michael's letters
that I got for 50 cents each.
Spent about $3 for materials and sold it for $17.

For these last ones i used Dollar Tree wall graphics
alphabet stickers, spraypainted, then peeled off the stickers.
Sold for $13, had $2 in it.

I was able to use some of the letters
a second time.
Spent about $3 on materials and sold it for $17.

Here are some of them in my booth.
Along with lace hankies, lace tablecloths,
frames and rhinestone jewelry.
Ready to roll for the Bridal Fair.

New Look To My MAY Vintage Booth

I was enjoying my metal, rusty, primitive, farm fresh
look so much in my outdoor booth
that I decided to bring the look inside.

I have two booths side-by-side in a vintage décor store.

This meant tearing it all apart,
replacing most of the furniture with more primitive pieces.

With all of the purchasing that I've been doing lately,
it was not too difficult to find enough to fill both indoor booths
with the look I wanted.

Now it is just a matter of deciding --
does this go inside or outside?

Of course anything cloth or wood goes inside.

This whole thought process helps me to be very selective
for the "look" when I am buying.

Less foofoo, less bright colors, less glass.
At least for now.

More nature, more natural colors, more rust,
more chippy paint.

Sometimes it is all about the enjoyment factor.

And this is what I'm enjoying right now.

Here are a couple of picts of the baggage cart I
purchased last weekend.

I hope it is not too hidden under the potting table,
but you got to be able to display merchandise.

Katie's Christmas Booth At The Rusty Chandelier

These are a few views of Katie's Christmas booth at the Rusty Chandelier.  Her style is so relaxed and natural.

Christmas Vintage Booth At The RUsty Chandelier

My antique booth at the Rusty Chandelier doesn't usually merit a posting.  But last week I brought in the Christmas bling.  WOW factor.

The ornaments look so great bunched together.
And they have been flying off the shelves.
I sold tons before I thought to take photos.

Here are some of my bleached bottle brush trees.
They have also been selling already.
I have more in a bleach bath as I write this!

I always have a Christmas area for the people
who only do whites.

I saved the best for last.  I managed to corral a huge population of blow-mold
Santas this year -- I decorated my booth header with the smaller ones.

Vintage Christmas Themed Entryway At The Rusty Chandelier

Katie has done another great job of decorating the front entryway of the Rusty Chandelier Vintage Mall.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Lovely Christmas branch skirt accent with
ribbon, Christmas ornaments and peacock feather.

Those green twisty trees in the back were
on some type of heavy equipment,
and SO perfect as Christmas trees.

Katie made the rag garland  in the back,
and has had to make several "replacements" already.

Cute little kiddie corner.

Giant tool holder.

Somehow I didn't manage to get a photo of the entire
chicken coop, but this is a gray one that I had brought in.

Always love old lawn chairs,
they have the best chippy layers.

New poster on an old chalkboard,
and a vintage twirling Christmas tree.
(I should have bought the tree!!!)

October Vintage Decorated Entryway At Rusty Chandelier

Katie just finished decorating the entryway at The Rusty Chandelier for October.  Here are a few highlights:

The urn is fantastic, right?

The owl has sat in my backyard for years,
time to let it fly away.

Close up of the great patina.

Lastly, a little glimpse of my booth.

Blue Hearts & The End Of My Blog

Early on during the corona virus, I did this project. When we put scalloped wood trim on the guest cottage door, we had some of the trim ...
