St. John's Wort


We decided to plant more "native" and
St John's Wort fit that bill.
We planted three bushes on the side of the house.
They have held up to the extreme heat well,
and the blooms are stunning.

Wildlife & Wildflowers


I saw two of these little cuties in one day,
so we must have many of them.

I should know the name of these.
I planted them a year ago,
and they have spread like crazy.

 All of these flowers,
and no honey bees:(

This is my husband's huge wildflower patch,
which is starting to be a showstopper.

Native Plant Sale


We attended a large native plant sale last Saturday.
Obviously we were not the only ones attending the sale.
They also had "native growing" classes.
It was really fascinating, and we are converts.

So this is a portion of what we came away with.
And what we will need to get planted.
