Vintage Western Fabric Finds

I was looking through a box at the flea market this morning.
It is definitely someone's "quilt scrap" box --
you know, the small remnants of fabric she kept  to
cut into tiny shapes for quilts.

There were other interesting bits in the box --
lots of floral feedsack.  But I was drawn to all
of the assorted patterns of mid-century western fabric.

Eight different patterns in all.
I am hoping someone out in ebay land finds
them as fascinating as I do.
Bought the box for $10, sold all of them sold for $73.

Saturday's Auction Vintage Finds 5.06.2017

Location has never been simpler.  This auction was situated just kitty-corner to us.  I took this photo from my front yard.  Which means, no packing the van -- just some schlepping back home (about six trips with my utility wagon).

There were TONS of tools, so it took them most of the day to get to the "fun stuff".  I still had a case of "zombie auction brain" (hot and dehydrated) and missed some of the cool stuff, but managed to get a few things.  Primarily, yard decor.  When you have driven by that house as many times as I have, you've had a chance to mentally "shop" the yard a thousand times.

Red Wing Brushware planter.  I've sold a ton of these in my time.  I finally decided last year to start keeping them.  So I added the little one to my "collection".

Vintage Western Fabric -- Selling on ebay. Purchased for $4, sold for $20.

Two floor lamps.  I paid a whopping $1 each for them at the end of the auction.

Flower Cart

Victorian Eastlake Hinges -- selling on ebay.
Purchased for $4, sold for $46.

Antique toy wagon -- also selling on ebay.

Vintage Curtains For Ebay

I recently picked up two really cool curtain sets.

The first set was actually in it's original speigel wrapper when I purchased them -- all three panel sets in original separate packages.  New Vintage Stock.  Another interesting factoid:  they are made of fiberglass.  What?

So I will be selling the SIX perfect curtain panels on ebay. Only sold for $20.

And if that wasn't fab enough, I picked up these vintage western cowboy curtains. Four valances, and
eight curtain panels. All in VG condition.  Wouldn't these be fun curtains in a little boys room?

They'll be joining the others on ebay.
Purchased for $6, sold for $103.

This Past Weekend's Vintage Finds 9.26.15

A quick review of last weekend's junking opportunities:

1. Friday morning garage sales.  I really only purchased one item of note, but what a great item it was!

25 FEET of vintage cowboy fabric!
Going on ebay!
Bought for $2, sold for $128.

2.  Friday night tiny town auction.  (click   here  to check our past adventures at this auction which takes place the last Friday evening of each month ).

I took advantage of the fact that my husband was with me
to purchase some heavy junk.

Besides this gorgeous woodburning stove,
I also picked up two old doors, two ladders...

and a very cool old record player.

I looked so skinny in my shadow,,,,
I wish it were closer to reality.

3.  Saturday morning we got up early (unloaded) and took a roadtrip to a small town (surrounded by wind turbines) that was having a city-wide garage sale.  We bought two more doors at a garage sale, while someone was watching us load they mentioned they had 11 more doors at a farm shed - DONE.

So we netted 15 old doors total for the weekend!

The shed also produced this perfectly rusty old wagon.

Blue Hearts & The End Of My Blog

Early on during the corona virus, I did this project. When we put scalloped wood trim on the guest cottage door, we had some of the trim ...
