Saturdays Vintage Finds 4.29.2017

What would lead my husband and I to a truck salvage yard almost
an hour from our house on a cold and rainy Saturday?
A series of misunderstandings, with a bit of confusion thrown in.

For one thing, I thought the advertised "old doors" meant house doors.
No, no.  Truck doors.  Not really my thing but I managed to find a couple "cute" ones,
Can't you see these with a fake company painted on the doors?

....and a couple of "cute" tailgates,
....a clawfoot tub (didn't I say heavy things were off my search list?),
(it was on the smallish side...)

....more grates (heaven help us),
....my second manhole cover
(on my way to creating that "little" manhole cover footpath that I dream of.)
....and this awesome Pepsi sign.
Life is like a box of chocolates.
